Welcome to Home Acting Tuition
Inspired by a combined 26 years working in the industry with children and young people, husband and wife team, Ben Murray-Watson and Jane Lesley set up HAT in 2011. We offer acting classes for children and students in Brighton who are aged 9 - 19 and who are passionate about acting and performance. We are dedicated to providing affordable and invaluable one-on-one and one-on-two (bring a friend) acting classes in your home.
One-on-one acting classes allow for a more detailed, focused approach!
The most effective teaching occurs through relationship, integrity, hard work and good humour. Youth theatres and after-school clubs sometimes struggle to provide that vital one-on-one tuition. HAT promises to provide a consistent and high level of direction and mentoring tailored specifically to each individual. Through detailed study of text, character and meaning, with special emphasis on vocal and physical dexterity, the acting classes aim to create confident, inspired performers in Brighton and the surrounding areas.

With the knowledge that a creative based curriculum is vital to the emotional growth and self-awareness of students, more and more Sussex schools are now offering scholarships and incentives to strong performers. HAT doesn't settle for 'average' and we flee from the 'that'll do' attitude. Rather, we work our students hard, honing their natural talent and tutoring them to create the very best performances. We want to give them the best possible chance to land that dream role or scholarship.

Every tutor on the Home Acting Tuition team has worked professionally in the business for at least 10 years. We will help you find that perfect audition monologue, help you understand that tricky piece of Shakespeare and help you relax and stay calm on the day itself. You'll never struggle to find the right 'HAT' for whatever the event!
Home Acting Tuition aims to equip each student with the tools to achieve the very best that they can with their talent. We encourage hard work, tenacity and the ability to see failure as a second chance. We don't promise to make you 'X-Factor' famous or to get you that dream job but we will endeavour to give you the best possible chance whilst recommending the best possible people to work with.
